Armie Hammer Back on WB’s Radar for Batman

Moviehole

When he was cast as Batman in George Miller’s “Justice League of America”, the anointment of actor Armie Hammer to a blockbuster superhero tent pole and, more importantly, such a legendary role drew mostly arched eyebrows and head scratching.
Hammer, like most of the young cast enlisted for the doomed project, was an unknown at the time. So as great as he might have looked in the black duds, most were still dubious.

I don't mind mind Armie Hammer in the small sampling of acting I've seen him in but in the role of Batman, he looks a little too young. I've always imagined Batman as a more mature looking man. Who knows, maybe he'll surprise me. I'm thinking that The Lone Ranger just might be a pretty damn good movie that could turn me around on him.

don't think he can pull off the dark character batman requiers

It's interesting that they'd go back to a former casting choice for the role once again. Maybe that means he really knocked their socks off originally and they never got him out of their minds for it.

Crazay4209d ago

True...but do you honestly think he's got the look and ability to fill such big shoes?

DarkBlood4208d ago

well i thought the same till i watched those other batman movies it really comes down to how they look under the suit

but what i dont like about the article is how it talks about only having him in the justice league film but not the solo film after that, does that imply anything happening in solo batman films *should they choose to or not* influence the story for a justice league 2?

if its completely seperate and is in no relation to a group film like the last batman trilogy then thats fine

if it is going to be related with the sequal justice movie or a superman/batman duo film *it could happen* then its a bad idea to recast batman in the solo film your just going to confused the casual audience plus people who dont read this kind of thing

but thats just me it wouldnt bother me either way it goes, merely a concern in continuity

I love Armie Hammer, but I don't know...he just doesn't seem like a good Batman choice for me. And with him being the main guy in the potential franchise that is Lone Ranger, I don't think he'll be able to do it either.

I will not support a Batman movie that includes Armie Hammer in the role. Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy was already a prequel and now the actors going to get even younger?! Why would Armie Hammer deserve this role anyway? What has he really done that deserves so much praise?

you guys are too fixated with acting and actors when it's the director the one that makes or break the movie. And he is the one that chooses the actors too so it all depends if the director thinks if that particular actor will be able to fulfill his vision regardless of his abilities as an actor.

If the director is crap then the movie will be crap. Period.

the director doesn't necessarily get final say on actors. most times they don't even get final cut on the movie.
