I love the look of that poster. Can't wait to see what Pixar does with the film.

I really like the art style of this. The whole stone circle thing playing a big part in it adds some interest as well, considering the types of myths and legends that go on in Scotland surrounding that type of stuff.

It does look very nice and interesting like you want to grab her and turn her around and see her face.

JL4680d ago

See the attached image. I turned her around for you. She seems to have taken great offense to that, though. :D

I dont like her curly hair if she is the protagonist. That should be for the bad guy/girl. Im sure it will play a role in the story though.

Also being a girl, its rather interesting. Pixar generally targets a boys audience, this will probably do the same through action, but I want to see how Disney handles it after.

looks interesting. Its nice to see Pixar branching out.

Gotta admit the whole Cars bandwagon and Toy Story 3...I kinda stopped following Pixar for a while. I used to be a huge fan, but Dreamworks started doing a great job at competing finally.

Then I see this and regret ever doing that lol. I love How to Train Your Dragon from Dreamworks, why? Because im a fantasy person. I LOVE those stories. Not so much Warcraft stories, those can get boring. But basically having a kid perspective, it doesn't have to be a kid, it just has to be a person finding out about themselves through these fantasy worlds. Its just so great.

I honestly cannot wait to see what Pixar does in this environment. While at the same time, people have always been that pesky little nuance to Pixar, so that should be interesting to see too. Wonder if they have learned anything from UP.

Quagmire4680d ago

I find Pixar is getting a bit full of themselves. I mean, UP was too wtf for me, Toy Story 3 was epic, WALL-E was overrated, but now a Cars 2, a Monsters Inc sequel, yet no mention of an Incredibles 2?

And their fans are seriously the worst, they say all Dreamworks films are shit just cause Pixar is the pioneers of CGI films.

How to Train You Dragon is better than a few of Pixar's films, and Kung Fu Panda was quite epic too, but had too much influence from the mainstream, unlike HTTYD which was a full fledged fantasy film.

Soldierone4680d ago

Yeah another reason why i jumped ship for a while. Dreamworks has some very talented people and have made some absolutely amazing movies. Pixar overshadows them and is basically handed all the credit in the world and all the medals etc...

How to Train your dragon is honestly one of my favorite animated films, probably my favorite from last year with the exception of Tangled.

Quagmire4680d ago

Havent seen Tangled, not really a fan of anything Disney has made in the past couple of years, save for Pirates.

Is it worth watching?

JL4680d ago

Soldier is NOT the one to ask that question. He is completely biased when it comes to that movie lol

On that note, it's good. Worth a watch if that's your thing. Tangled definitely feels much more like Disney from the 90's than anything else they've put out recently.

In a movie that largely sidesteps what the war is about, “Civil War” puts us in the point of view of journalists who make it clear there are no heroes in war, just dead bodies.
