IGN:
ABC has a new supernatural drama in the works, Variety reports.
The network failed to order the back 9 for this fall’s paranormal/horror offering 666 Park Avenue, and scrapped plans for the supernatural procedural Weird Desk. It's taking another stab at a ghostly series, however, with The Returned.
The drama will reportedly focus on “a Midwestern town where the dead return to change the lives of those they left behind.”
Plan B and Brillstein Entertainment are developing the show with ABC Studios with Aaron Zelman set to write and executive produce.
Zelman was the co-executive producer on The Killing and a consulting producer on Damages, two strong, serialized mysteries. It will be interesting to see what he brings to this genre.
Deliver Me Review: The Swedish series follows two troubled teen and their troublesome lives when one of them is shot dead.
Fight For Paradise Review: This reality show is nothing new but there are so many uncomfortable moments that will definitely give you the ick.
Brigands: The Quest For Gold Review: The Italian drama follows a group of brigands, embarking on a journey to reclaim power and some hidden gold.
I wish them luck but ABC doesn't usually have luck with this type of show. I don't know if it's just the time slot they choose for them or what else it could be. Fox, CBS, & The CW always seem to fair better...especially CW. Aside from that you have to take them to the cable channels.
