New Trailer for The Lone Ranger Starring Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer

Collider:
A new trailer for director Gore Verbinski’s The Lone Rangerhas been released. This new trailer finally takes a little bit of focus off of Johnny Depp‘s Tonto and places it on the eponymous character (Armie Hammer). We learn a little bit of the hero’s back story, and that Silver is a very odd horse. I’m not sure if I’ll ever get used to Tonto’s fractured dialogue or Bojan Bazelli‘s washed-out cinematography, but Verbinski’s earned my trust, so I’ll keep hoping that this movie delivers.

Hit the jump to watch the trailer. The film stars Tom Wilkinson, William Fichtner, Barry Pepper, James Badge Dale, Ruth Wilson, and Helena Bonham Carter. The Lone Ranger opens July 3, 2013.

I've had my doubts with this one and I usually don't when Depp is involved but with this trailer...all doubts are gone. I'm going to love it! It's going to tell the original story but thru fresh new eyes and with a little fun.

This trailer was actually pretty good. I've not been looking forward to this film, but I'm starting to have in inkling of interest. I'm not completely sold, but more footage like this could get me there.

I was the same way darklordzor, but I'm getting to the point that I'm getting excited about it now. I've always liked Depp...everybody knows that but I'll be the first to admit that not all his movies are great.

I'm looking forward to this now.

Gore is a underrated director. Rango was just awesome.

I don't think he's underrated, he's a phenomenal director. I'd see a movie just because he made it.

"Something very wrong with that horse"

I'm liking the look of this, will probably end up seeing it.
