How come no one else has stepped into the rumor circle? Jamie Foxx can't be the only person they are trying to put in the role, there has to be someone that actually suits it somewhere....
i was thinking of the heath ledger thing it may or may not end well but then again i was never really disapointed with these kind of things maybe my definition of enjoyment is just different that i dont tend to look for failures
hmm never seen him in anything who knows could play the part well or could kill it, personally I think it's an odd choice of villain and might seem rather stupid in a film and not a comic or game etc but who knows?
If this happens the movie will bomb. For one, Electro isn't black. In any of the universes within the Marvel Universe, Whether it be Earth-616, Earth-3490 blah blah. Never seen a black Electro.
He's a descent actor but I agree with you that electro ain't black. Of the costume was made to cover the whole body then yea I guess it will work but that isn't the case.
lol n fairness I think it's easier to make a white person look black than it is to make a black person look white in terms of the whole makeup and the colours etc. Infact is the latter even possible without it being really obvious? Secondly Robert D Jr is pretty much a legend lol his actings great, no idea what this guys actings like but they cast decent actors for the 1st film I can't see them allowing someone as bad at acting as people say be cast on the film especially when he doesn't actually fit the traditional look for that character in the source material. So hopefully it will be fine also we don't know how major a part he's going to play he could just be like a sub plot seeing as the info on Mary Janes casting would suggest Gwen dies at the end of the next film which of course means Green goblin must rear his head and whoever is cast as that part will automatically take central stage as the villain overall even if he's not suppossed to. (Casting info said Mary Jane was only a fairly minor role for this next film but would be a major role throughout the 3rd.)
So they are over and him and all those actors are done with the franchise. Time to move on you like those ones but plenty of people want to see another good spiderman movie so why wish that it ends up crap just because you like the previous iteration? What stops them co-existing as decent movies? (minus Spiderman 3 that was really disappointing compared to the first 2 :( ) although I think Sam Raimi's were bogged down by their cast Kirsten Dunst and Tobey Maguire irritated the shit out of me. both were so damn whiny. Much prefer the casting so far for the new films and so I will trust that if they've cast him it's because he CAN pull it off...
So much unnecessary hate.
Second, he's a terrible actor.
he did win an Oscar you know.
i don't recall any storylines featuring Electro where the colour of his skin was in any way important.
and hey, Kingpin wasn't black either.
sam raimis will always be better
