Hmmm....while I loved the first Amazing Spider-Man film and want more, I still don't like this. I've always been a proponent of waiting to see how a film will do before working on the next ones. I might have been fine with a 3rd film release date (they did that with this second one), but one for the 4th as well?

At least with the 3rd one, they have the second film's script done and have a reasonable idea of how it looks. There's no way at this point, they know what the third film will be like, and thus can't predict how much demand for a fourth film there will be.

It's spiderman. It will sell.

darklordzor3957d ago

True, but I'm sure they said that about Batman & Robin, and Superman Returns. Just cause it will make money doesn't necessarily mean it's a good thing.

itll sell, he the best spiderman, he was meant to play this role.

so a saga? i have no problem with that, dont want to cram too many villians in one film especially if said villian/antihero has alot of backstory that cant possibly be ingored like that in compromised of fitting in one film

Crazay3958d ago

I see this as heading to a sinister six story arc then its reboot time

xXBlondieVanHarlowXx3957d ago (Edited 3957d ago )

Sinister Six sounds very possible.

I would blend that with a Shattered dimensions-like story. Having 4 Spidey's would rule >_< Bringing back Maguire as a Spidey from one of the other universes would be friggin amazing! It would also allow Sony to undo Spidey 3 by causing the "dimension shattering" bit to occur directly after Maguire's Spidey obtains the symbiote. Completely undoing that horrible mess known as Spider-man 3,

And who knows maybe that would inspire Raimi to return and run his own Spider-man series parallel to Marc Webb's.

Highly unlikely though x( just a fan and her dreams :(

calis3957d ago

I would say that would never happen, but X-Men are doing it so it's not totally out of the realm of possibility.

I want to see Carnage, a proper Venom appearance, and I wanna see Mysterio!!!

Crazay3958d ago

Mysterio would be fantastic.

GenericNameHere3957d ago

I've always wanted Mysterio ever since the second Raimi Spider-Man movie!! I just hope that if they do, they'll let him keep his original costume with the green suit, the red cap, and the bowl thing, not the Ultimate generic guy with a flaming skull (that's Dormammu's shtick!)

wannabe gamer3957d ago

totslly agree on venom. they got his look down i thought but just didnt showcase him enough. there doesnt need to be venom + another villian. there just needs to be venom and spiderman and that whole epic story alone

RedHawkX3957d ago

i didnt like the amazing spiderman at all. had a crap villian and retold the same stuff as the last series. and the fight scenes were short. also 2014 for this next movie? ehh thats a far ways away this next movie should be out this year. i expect the next film to have an even worse villian with jamie fox being it lol. spiderman is dead to me. at least i still have marvels avengers and there side movies and the man of steel.

Crazay3957d ago

2014 release for TASM 2 would be right in line with most movies. 2yrs between sequels.

wannabe gamer3957d ago

they are still filming the second movie right now.
