Whaaaaaaat?!? Really?!?

Ok...Awesome. I'll watch pretty well anything with zombies in it anyway so I knew I'd eventually get around to seeing this but now I just might have to bump it up my list of summer movies.

the film looks good, but it also looks to be nothing like the book.

That's what I don't like about it, but I hype myself by thinking that the movie shows what the guy doing the interviews in the book did during the apocalypse.

The book absolutely would not work as a movie.

Actually...maybe...but it would be just like Cloud Atlas

The film looks like any other, action centric, zombie apocalypse movie.

What made the book stand out was the attention to detail that made you believe you were reading a real account of a decades long war. The viewpoints of different people and how they responded to the realities of life in that situation, the event that lead up to it, and the aftermath of a decimated society. That it what made WWZ such a good book.

It wouldn't have been difficult to do a documentary style anthology that kept true to the spirit of the book. It could have been like any number of great documentaries on past wars (WWI, WW2, Vietnam, etc).

Instead they made it a popcorn flick. I certainly won't be bothering to see it. Not because it won't be a decent flick in it own right, but because they're trading on the name of literary brilliance while failing to be anything like it.

This is just promotion and false advertising with those Twitter accounts. I doubt it's that great

i have not read the book if there is any, i am going to see the film anyway with moderate expectations, i dont think it will be that great or it can beat out some of my favorite zombie films.
