uh,, wut? This series has had ONE villain,,, You're really gonna compare one villain in a franchise to five in another?

No one can argue that the fights in Raimi's Spidey movies were awesome. But the stories were going nowhere fast. Every movie would consist of random drama between Peter & MJ, a super-villain popping up in NYC, his plan getting foiled, he kidnaps MJ in the final battle then dies by his own hand (Goblins pierced by their own gliders, Venom jumped onto a bomb and Doc Ock killed himself to right his wrongs). There was a pretty obvious pattern that was getting boring fast. I litterally face palmed when Sandman and Venom kidnapped Mj. IMHO The only 2 characters i found interesting and actually looked forward to seeing were Harry & Aunt May,, & Harry died... So i'm personally glad for the reboot.

I mentioned spidey 1 and 2 not the abortion of a movie called spidey 3.

Whilst I agree with the recycled plots, the bad guys were still epic.

the first 2 Spidy movies were great, and the reboot is also a god re-start, only problem it was too fast, a few more years were needed to let people forget the first trilogy a bit.

Is that to say the stories go somewhere fast in TASM (thus far)? This Spidey's characterization is nothing more than an artificial jumble of archetypes that feels designed by committee. We can bring up recycled plot points of how most enemies meet their demise (a fashion done countless times anyway), but I'll take that over...whatever the Lizard was doing: jumping from terrorizing the town to "humans are weak...they need to be lizards!" with so little in between.

give the TASM the benefit of the doubt, when and if the trilogy is complete then we can fairly compare it with raimis work. overall sam raimi did an excellent job in the first two projects and the third was awful...on the other hand in the new spiderman maybe the first would be the weakest link but the second and third might be more stronger especially if they are going with the sinister 6 direction...

Krazy, you must be kid becuase Spider-man 1,2 and 3 were too cheesy, too much bright, it had no story, and villains were lame. I mean green goblin was powerranger. WTF.
Old Spider-Man movies has ultra crap CGI, and story is NOTHING.
New Spider-Man is more darker, more real, more serious, and has story and better cast. Also better CGI.

DAMN, that suit looks awesome! They pretty much nailed it PERFECTLY this time-- taking the things that worked on the last suit, the things that worked on the Raimi suit, and those sweet eye lenses pretty much straight from the comic books.

based on the pictures i think they are working together and jamie foxx is still a good guy on that certain point but that is my hypothesis.
