Nicely put together yet I disagree with the order.

I approve of this though, thats for sure.

Ben 10 more popular than Spongebob?

Homer still at number 1?
Now if this were the late 80s/90s then Homer would be number 1.

Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated was a crappy show and in no way would Scooby be on the list. Again, were this the 70s-90s, sure.

Generator Rex was one of the most badass shows, but he was no that popular at all, hence getting cancelled.

Your list isn't really about popularity, but more of who is your favorite in a Top 20 list. Do some actual research next time.

I agree with you entirely, well put.

calis4045d ago

popularity =/= favourite

some will agree, some will disagree and that's how it goes.

I agree with you tho.

Now I see how those first gen Pokémon fanboys feel like. Are the new Scooby-Doo shows good, or is nostalgia stopping me from liking the newer Scooby-Doo, and always liking the old Scooby "Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?" show? I watched a few movies from early last decade like the one where they're on a boat with Freddy's parents, and another one involving Tikis and Menehunes, but they weren't special or anything like that... I did like the live action movies though.

And what about Spongebob? I admit I haven't watched the newer episodes since the special where 8 new episodes were shown back to back (or something like that, it's the one where Patrick becomes a girl and everyone falls in love him). I didn't find those episodes funny... AT ALL. Again, might just be nostalgia and probably thinking I'm too old for Spongebob...

I do like that Numba 1 (Heck YES!!!), Bloo (AWESOME!!!!!!!), Ed (I miss these three scammers...), and Samurai Jack (hehe he's secretly the Professor) are on this list. Makes me sad that I grew old, time went by, and these shows are no longer airing (unless they're on Boomerang)... Except for Megas XLR. I heard that show can't EVER be shown on cable TV again... Anyone know if this is true or false?

BEN 10...no...just no

I'm seeing a lot of crappy cartoon network characters here when CN is crap now.

Homer Simpson at number 1....please the Simpsons haven't been funny since the late 90s

Is this an opinion piece? Is there any source for this information besides the authors mind? I would bet any amount of money that if you gathered 10,000 kids 10 years old, since it is regarding the last 10 years, Coop from Megas XLR wouldn't come close to Scooby Doo and Ben 10 wouldn't be ahead of Sponge Bob.

RetrospectRealm4045d ago

Honestly, Scooby Doo wouldn't be on the list. His shows have sucked the past decade. Especially the one he made the list for.

RockmanII74045d ago

Just because something is popular doesn't mean it is good, it means a bunch of people watch it. There are still a ton of people watching and buying merchandise for Scooby Doo.

RetrospectRealm4044d ago

That show sucked majorly. That's why it was cancelled. xD

RockmanII74043d ago

I promise you, if you go into a 4th grade classroom (where the kids are 10 years old) there are gonna be more people who know what Scooby Doo is compared to Megas XLR. No ones talking about the quality of the show because it's not relevant to figuring out the popularity.
