Harrison Ford Will Return As Han Solo In ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’

Latino Review

Good morning cool kids!

What’s poppin’?

Star Wars, man!

I still can’t believe there is going to be another another trilogy.

I’m not going to lie, I was one of those who were of the opinion that all the recent Star Wars news was a tad overkill. I wanted to disconnect my internet until 2015.

I thought lots of folks felt the same way I did.

Rumor until proven fact by either Disney or Ford himself.

Didn't he say not long ago he wants to do it, or would do it if asked?

While I have no qualms about his acting ability, or the lovability of the character, I don't think, other than for fan service, that anyone REALLY wants to see an aged Han Solo.

Han Solo was a cowboy, fire from the hip kind of fly by the seat of his pants (demi-hero if you will, side kick doesn't give him enough credit, that's 3P0's domain) type.

Other than Clint Eastwood groupies, no one wants to see The Man with No Name when he's 90 (as much as I myself would love to see Eastwood reprise ANY role) idea being those characters tend to burn bright and blindingly at times, but for a short while and then they are either snuffed out young, or simply fade into the background.

Given I don't keep up with Star Wars lore beyond the films (perhaps Solo lives to 150), I think the charm of Solo was in his quintessential debonair style which, in my opinion, would be difficult to impossible to recapture in the same way Ford was able to with Indiana Jones.
