Can't wait...this movie can't come too soon for me.

arukas4088d ago

this is the truly spidey, is really awesome how the story has improved with this re-start

TheHergulaX4088d ago

Yeah... naw it really isnt, it is a bad interpretation of one of the best superheroes to ever live... Im simply not impressed...

Root4087d ago

I don't think so, the new Spiderman sucks

Hell Andrew Garfield looks more like a guy who would of picked on Peter Parker in high school rather then be Peter himself

It's like they found a good looking guy and slapped some thick glasses on him...

"Done....your now a geek"

Seriously they should of gone with an older Peter Parker.

I mean Toby wasn't the best actor ever and Spiderman 3 wasn't great but at least he looked the part

SilentNegotiator4087d ago

I have to agree, the casting was pretty iffy. With the mask on, he was a great Spiderman, but he didn't fit as Peter Parker.

And now, Jamie Foxx......oh my.....the director made stupid mistakes with Spiderman 3, but the CASTING director for the Amazing Spiderman series must be high on something.

Root4087d ago

I agree however even with the mask on I knew what was underneath and it still put me off....he seemed like a prick at times.

He tried to be funny but it failed and he looked silly most of the time.

As I've said they should of went with an older Peter Parker, someone who has done everything and is become tired of Spiderman...he's married MJ, he's battled the Green Goblin, Rhino, Kingpin etc untill he comes up against Venom....

Start with Venom in Spiderman at the end it gives birth to Carnage
Then have a returning villain in Spiderman 2 - Green Goblin
Then have Carnage in Spiderman 3

Actually Spider-man was always a cocky guy with cheesy one liners. But I don't like Andrew Garfield in this role, he's way too skinny and he just looks awkward.

They should just stop wasting movie time with this origins bullcrap. We all know Spideys origins just as well as we know Batmans.

Root4087d ago

@turqoisekiller

I know but the thing is he's tries to be funny and cocky but it just dosen't work, he does a terrible job at it

I hate the Origins crap awswell, I just want them to move on but that won't be for a while since they are going to do a trilogy out of this.

DeadManMcCarthy4087d ago (Edited 4087d ago )

@Root Yeah, I agree with what you said. He just doesn't seem like Spiderman at all. The only thing they got right was the cockyness and his web shooters. Casting is so terrible these days especially in this movie. I heard that they may even make Harry Osbourne the new Venom.

Tobey was perfect as Spiderman they should have made this Spiderman a more experienced version rather than a newby. I guess we won't see anything like that anytime soon. :(

SilentNegotiator4087d ago (Edited 4087d ago )

I also agree on the origins nonsense. Just once I would like to see them not feel obligated to start a series with the origins of a highly known character.

Kevin ButIer4087d ago

meh... I really miss Tobey... it wasn't good but man he was hilarious
