Everyone has guilty pleasure movies, films that they love but may never really admit to. I personally have a fondness for the Musical Mama Mia, while others may spend their alone time watching absurd 80′s horror movies. This year brought us a fresh batch of movies we hate to admit we love.
No Pressure Review: This is an odd light-hearted watch that is a bit confused whether it wants to paints its characters in a good or bad light.
Rest In Peace Review: This gripping thriller will captivate you from start to finish, leaving you pondering the boundaries between right and wrong long after the credits roll.
The Believers Review: Netflix's newest release is a thrilling ride with some emotional moments peppered in between.
Iron Sky is TOPS!! compared to say Battleship and even the dreadfully hyped Hunger Games.
The story plot is absolutely crazy but the idea behind it is simply superb!
And the costumes and CGI designed warships are first rate and quite believable in the sense that they can actually be built for real sometime in the future.
Gorgeous looking actors as well they picked.
I have no problem with older (great ) films being re released at all. They kicked ass the first time, And its cool to see (If you weren't even alive) it the first time round or just again on a big screen with great sound like most of us.
At the least it serves as better entertainment watching the lion king or Jurassic park again than let's say one of the date/epic/scary movies and romcoms etc of this last decade...
Hunger Games could have been a great movie but it felt like the director didn't have the guts to properly portray just how brutal and dark the storyline was. The movie felt too light-hearted and that made it pretty forgettable, imo.
Abe Lincoln was meh.
Haven't watched the other 2 and I don't watch IMAX re-releases but do love Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc, and such.
Hunger games sucked ass, huge hype like avatar where both would get you dirty looks if you didn't like them, the Abe Lincoln vampire hunter movie should have followed the book. It felt like it was just thrown together for syfy channel. Was not impressed with Prometheus or the grey at all.
