Crave Online:
Bill Pullman plays the president in the new NBC comedy “1600 Penn.” We got to interview him at the Television Critics Association party for NBC, and he said a sequel to Independence Day could begin filming within a year. We know, we know, they keep talking about Independence Day 2 and even when Will Smith says he’d do it, it doesn’t happen. Pullman said director Roland Emmerich and producer Dean Devlin has a plan, even if his new show becomes a massive hit.
Testament The Story of Moses Review: The series depicts Moses' journey from an outcast and murderer to a prophet and liberator of the Hebrews. It interweaves docudrama and interviews, to present a more humanly image of the prophet.
Rest In Peace Review: A man in debt disappears. Years later, he considers reconnecting with his family, but his previous life takes him by surprise.
Nerd Reactor writes that a new international post has revealed the return of a fan-favorite Toho monster.
Awesome!! I'd love to see an Independence Day 2. They have to do it right though. ID4 was an iconic movie and if they don't make the sequel great, this movie could flop. I guess they can make the sequel where the aliens return from their home planet or something like that.
If they bring back the original cast it could be great. Smith, Goldblum and Pullman.
i think i saw the original about a dozen times in the cinema, so i'd totally be up for a sequel.
hard to believe it came out like 16 years ago.
sure, it was cheesy, a bit gung ho, some not very three dimensional characters, everything that makes a bad movie usually, but damn, put those elements together just right, and you can get magic in a bottle.
let's hope they can recapture some of that magic.
nobody does end of the world movies like Devlin and Emmerich.
