Matthew Vaughn Collaborator Seemingly Confirms Director For ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’

Although it’s been less than a month since we heard a new Star Wars trilogy is being set into motion, it’s been a whirlwind of rumors with a few brief glimpses of the truth. This month we got a confirmed writer for Star Wars: Episode VII with Michael Arndt (Toy Story 3, Little Miss Sunshine) and tonight it looks like we have our strongest inclination yet for who will be stepping behind the camera. The first of the rumored names for the directing gig may turn out to be true, as new evidence of Matthew Vaughn (Kick-Ass, X-Men: First Class) helming has cropped up.

To be honest, the director probably won't be announced until websites stop posting "possible director" articles lol

Why bother when you can keep the hype going and use it to re spark interest when it dies down.

I wish they'd hurry up and make the announcement. You have to know that they already have someone in mind and or already signed.

No doubt, there could be circumstances behind it though.

Could be finalizing a trilogy style deal.

The director could already have a movie in the works, or out in theaters etc....and they have to wait till its done its run to announce he will also be behind Star Wars.

Or like I said, they just want hype to die down before sparking it up again.
